About Me

As a psychotherapist I bring a uniquely positive, solutions oriented approach specializing in individual, family, and couples therapy in Salt Lake City. With compassion and understanding, I work with you to help you build on your strengths and attain the personal growth you are committed to accomplishing.

My own emotional and psychological challenges are the catalyst that eventually led me to this work as a therapist. I asked myself, "What do I really want to do in the next chapter of my life, who do I want to be, and how can I make that happen?" Within months I discovered my passion for this work. Pacifica Graduate Institute, nestled in the foothills near Santa Barbara, California, became my second home while I completed a master's degree in Counseling Psychology. My work as a therapist includes working with military personnel in Florida, and in Colorado with hospice patients and their families. I returned home in 2008 to follow my passion for individual, family, and couples therapy in Salt Lake City.

With over 20 years of experience delving into my own personal growth including forgiving and healing from broken relationships, grieving the chronic illnesses and deaths of loved ones, and overcoming my own depressions and anxieties, I come to this work with optimism and a strong belief that everyone is capable of making positive changes in their life. As an emotionally focused relationship therapist, I provide an interactive, solution-focused approach. I integrate complementary methodologies and techniques to offer a highly personalized approach tailored to your needs. I work with you to help you build on your strengths and attain the personal growth you are committed to accomplishing.
